Specifically, Miroslav Klose with Germany (2002-2014), Antonio Carbajal with Mexico (1950-1966), Rafa Marquez again with Mexico (2002-2018) and Lothar Mathews with Germany (1998-2006) have competed in five World Cup finals.
Top scorers
At the top with most goals in World Cup history is Miroslav Klose. The German striker after the first in the category with the most participations in the final stages, is this time alone at the top with the most goals, as he scored 16 goals, passing the Brazilian Ronaldo by one goal, as the "phenomenon" had scored 15 times. The trio is completed by the great Gerd Müller, with the German finding the net on 14 occasions, two short of first place and just one goal short of second.
